TanDEM and Kituo cha Elimu Meserani

The work of Kituo cha Elimu Meserani has been supported by many people. We cannot express our appreciation enough. Without our supporters, we simply could not continue our work.

Through donating to the centre, you can ensure that residents in and around Meserani have continued education opportunities, and that these remain free. Money goes a long way in Tanzania: 5p will buy a pencil; 15p will buy one exercise book; Ł1.20 will buy enough chalk to last a month; Ł3 will buy enough lined paper for a month; Ł5 will buy a good quality teacher's book; Ł30 will give the centre electricity for one month; Ł40 will pay a teachers wage for a month.

It costs Ł700 a month to run the centre, that's less than Ł1 a member. We are currently looking for patrons of the centre to donate on a monthly basis. This will ensure the running costs of the centre are met and allows other fundraising to go towards the expansion of the centre. As an entirely voluntary organisation, 100% of your donation will go to the centre. There are various ways you can make a one-off donation:
